ABOUT US
HUMBERSIDE TAEKWONDO EST 2016
Affiliated with the TAGB, Humberside Taekwondo was formed in 2016 in Grimsby with the aim of bringing the best teachings and taekwondo experience to our students under the leadership of instructor Mr Colin Boxshall and his committed support network of assistant instructors and welfare officers.
In 2025, the Humberside Taekwondo family has grown with the addition of the Lincoln City club. We are excited to continue developing martial artists of all ages and abilities to be able to reach their full potential at this new location.
We strive to foster a family-oriented environment where everyone can thrive, and dedicate themselves to be the best they can be. We accept students from 7 years and up, with our oldest active member being 65!
HTKD is also proud of its members’ competition success, with members winning medals at all levels up to and including the TKDI World Championships.
LINCOLNSHIRE CHAMPIONS
At Humberside Taekwondo we are proud to call ourselves the current reigning Lincolnshire champions, having won the 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions. This is testament to the hard work of our students and their dedication to self-improvement, in showing the best of themselves in all aspects of Taekwondo, including patterns, sparring and team events.

All instructors are qualified through the TAGB, are DBS checked, have up-to-date first aid qualifications and are fully safeguarding trained in accordance with Sport England and NSPCC Child Protection in Sport.

PROUD TO BE PART OF THE TAGB
Humberside Taekwondo are part of the TAGB (Taekwondo Association of Great Britain) a nationally recognised association for Taekwondo. The TAGB was formed in 1983 and has since become the founding member of the British Tae Kwon-Do Council (BTC) which is recognised by the United Kingdom Sports Council.
The TAGB is the largest martial arts organisation in the world with over 25,000 accredited members at over 600 schools througout Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Some of the benefits of being a TAGB member:
- Fully assessed and qualified instructors.
- Thorough grading structure up to and beyond Black Belt.
- Access for students of all grades, to outstanding local, national and international competitions including but not limited to the Lincolnshire, English, British and World Championships.
